This documentary follows Christmas tree growers and migrant workers through a season as they work with the Blue Ridge Mountain landscape to produce the perfect tree. North Carolina’s Blue Ridge mountains are the leading Christmas tree producing region in the U.S. South. This documentary will profile the complex and often overlooked interactions between growers, workers, and the mountain landscape. There are three sides to this story, and the triangular shape of a Christmas Tree provides a metaphor for the relationships between farm owners, migrant workers, and the mountains.
